Pricing

You pay for the people and the machines.

One monthly plan, sized by how many seats your workspace holds. What your developers run through it — Claude Code, Codex — adds nothing to that: the models keep billing to your own provider accounts, at their prices.

Early access. Paid subscriptions are currently available to organisations in the EU/EEA. Paid consumer subscriptions are not yet available. See our billing and refund terms before subscribing.

What counts

A seat is a person, or a machine that spends like one.

Two things take a seat, and the reason is the same for both: each one spends under its own name, so each one shows up as a line you can read. Everything else on this list is a credential you brought with you, and Selan does not bill for those.

Takes a seat

  • A person in your workspace. From the day you add them — somebody invited who never signs in still holds their seat until you switch them off.
  • A CI token. From the day it is minted until you revoke it or it expires. It spends under its own address, so a build agent reads as a build agent.

Takes nothing

  • The tools themselves. Claude Code, Codex, whatever your team runs next — a developer working in two of them is still one person, and still one seat.
  • A device token. The one a developer issues for their own machine. There is one per person, and it spends under the seat they already hold.
  • A Claude, ChatGPT or Ollama Cloud subscription. Whichever plan you are already on — a seat you bought from them is not a seat on ours. Connect as many as you hold.
  • An API key you brought. Anthropic, OpenAI, Vertex, OpenRouter — yours, and billed to you by them.

Changing plan

Up is immediate. Down waits for the month you paid for.

  • Moving up takes effect the moment you press it, and your card is charged then. It is the one change on the billing page you cannot take back — no ordinary refund is issued, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
  • Moving down, and cancelling, take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is cut short, and no ordinary refund is issued, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Your team keeps working until the day it happens, and you can undo it until then.
  • Every paid plan needs a card on file. It is held by Stripe and never touches this site. Free needs nothing but a sign-in.

Not on our invoice

What your models cost is between you and your provider.

Selan holds no provider key of its own. Every request Claude Code or Codex makes runs on a credential you connected — your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, or an API key you pasted for Anthropic, OpenAI, Vertex or OpenRouter — so the provider bills you directly, on your own account, at their prices. We never see that money and never invoice it. What you pay us is the plan above, and nothing else. Before subscribing, read the billing, cancellation and refund terms.

Questions

Short answers.

Are these prices net or gross?
Net. VAT is added at checkout at the rate your country and VAT number make due — an EU VAT number we can verify against the European register makes the invoice reverse-charge.
Do I need a card for the Free plan?
No. Free needs nothing but a sign-in. Every paid plan needs a card on file before you can pick it, and it is held by Stripe rather than by us.
Does a developer's own laptop token cost a seat?
No. A device token spends under the seat of the person who issued it, and they already hold one. Only CI tokens — the named ones an owner mints for a build agent — take a seat of their own, because they spend under an address of their own.
How do renewal and cancellation work?
Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. An upgrade is charged immediately; a downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with no ordinary prorated refund. When paid consumer subscriptions become available, consumers may contact info@selan.ai within 14 days of their first paid subscription to request withdrawal and a refund. Selan currently limits subscriptions to the EU/EEA.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
We notify you by email. If the payment remains unpaid for 14 days, the workspace is frozen and its spend cap is set to zero. Payment does not automatically reactivate a frozen workspace; contact info@selan.ai.
Can I use Selan without giving you a provider account?
Not really — connecting at least one credential is the point. But it stays yours: a Claude or ChatGPT subscription you sign in to, or an API key you paste. Selan has no provider key to fall back on, so nothing runs on ours and nothing is resold to you.
